Trip Overview
Ama Dablam is one of the most beautiful and revered mountains on Earth - a spiritual icon in the Everest region. The iconic peak (6,812m) rises dramatically in the Khumbu region, visible from much of the Everest Base Camp trail. Expect exposure, steep ridges, and serious alpine climbing (with expert support), combined with the profound sense of journeying to a sacred summit. The trek and climb pass through classic ridge lines with dramatic exposure, offering a top-tier objective for experienced climbers. Photogenic camps and unmatched Everest-region scenery make this an unforgettable Himalayan adventure.

Day 1: Day 1-2: Kathmandu
Arrival, gear check, permits, and briefing with your climbing leader.
Day 3: Day 3-7: Approach to Base Camp
Fly to Lukla and trek through the Khumbu Valley via Namche Bazaar and Tengboche to Ama Dablam Base Camp. Acclimatization is built into the schedule.
Day 8: Day 8-22: Climbing Period
Establish camps, fix ropes on key sections, and make summit attempts. The South-West Ridge is the standard route - technical with steep sections, mixed terrain, and exposure.
Day 23: Day 23-26: Descent and Departure
Descend to Namche, Lukla, fly to Kathmandu, and transfer for departure.

- Sleeping bag (-20°C or lower), trekking poles, headlamp with extra batteries
- Water bottles (2+ liters), sunglasses with UV protection, sunscreen (SPF 50+)
- Base layers, fleece, waterproof shell, warm gloves, sun hat
- First aid kit, personal medications, water purification
- Camera, power bank, toiletries, cash (Nepali rupees)
Technical climbing equipment
- Harness, ice axe, crampons, helmets, ascenders, descenders
- Climbing boots (B2/B3), trekking boots, gaiters
- Technical clothing layers, down suit or high-altitude jacket
