Trip Overview

The Langtang Valley Trek offers an authentic Himalayan experience closer to Kathmandu than other popular treks. This beautiful journey takes you through traditional Tamang villages, dense forests, and high alpine meadows with spectacular views of Langtang Lirung (7,234m), Dorje Lakpa (6,966m), and other peaks.

Experience the rich culture of the Tamang people, whose Tibetan-influenced customs, architecture, and lifestyle have remained largely unchanged. The trek passes through Langtang National Park, home to diverse wildlife including red pandas, Himalayan black bears, and over 250 species of birds. The highlight is reaching Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m), a beautiful monastery surrounded by snow-capped peaks. From here, you can climb Tserko Ri (4,984m) for panoramic views of the entire Langtang range and beyond to Tibet.
